Achievable Rate Maximization Pattern Design for Reconfigurable MIMO Antenna Array

Reconfigurable multiple-input multiple-output can provide performance gains over traditional MIMO by reshaping the channels, i.e., introducing more channel realizations. In this paper, we focus on achievable rate maximization pattern design for reconfigurable systems. Firstly, introduce matrix representation of (PR-MIMO), based which a problem is formulated. To further reveal effect radiation wireless channel, consider both single-pattern case where optimized same all antenna elements, and multi-pattern different elements adopt patterns. For case, show that equivalent to redistribution among scattering paths, an eigenvalue optimization solution obtained. propose sequential framework with manifold decomposition obtain near-optimal solutions.
